They have gone down in price since I bought mine a couple of years ago, £15
Forgot to add, they also come with stacks of straps, brackets and waterproof enclosure, which are decent quality and would cost a fortune for a Go-Pro.

The Chinese ones have an LCD display, so you don't need to connect to a phone,

I find it lot easier to start/stop recording .check if the view is set ok ,view playback.etc.on your phone if the cam is stuck to the side of your helmet or chest harness,......just my opinion :smt102 my gopro has a rear screen too

I don’t really want to use it on my helmet. What is the best type of mount to use on the bike?

I tried a few locations on the bike Simon, but vibration was a problem, and when viewing it is a very limited shot of the ride you've just done. Okay for short "action" shores, close to the road or wheels, but crap for viewing a ride out. You pays your money and makes your choice.

And yes Wessie Dave, battery life is poor. I have a double charger and two batteries, but still limited.

The camera arrived a few days ago and included a few mounts.
One of them being a large clip type thing, that should fit snugly in the beast pocket of my bike jacket.
I’ll give it a go at the IoM next week.
